Savilla~~

Louise: Thank you so much for letting me get that out. I’ve needed to talk to someone for a long time now.

Julie: Of course! No problem at all.

Louise gave a tiny smile and let out a soft sigh.

Julie: Hey! Here’s my number.

Louise scrunched her eyebrows together and looked at the tiny piece of paper she held in her hand.

Julie: So we can keep in touch!

Louise smiled, and stared at the piece of paper.

Louise: …Wait, you don’t have a pen or paper with you. Where’d you get this??

Julie: Haha..err, I promise it’s not fake..I just don’t know how to explain.

Savilla~~

Louise desperately needed to let it all out, and Julie was offering to take it all in. Why would she refuse?

Louise: Okay, SO..

Julie smiled. She finally got the lonely girl to talk. Louise told her a lot, but didn’t let her know anything about her past life. Only things they talked about were how she had nightmares, and how she really needed a job because she had little food. She left out the fact that she felt so guilty and the thought of her little sister being alone tortured her. She left out the part where she broke into her grandparents’ home and stole 10,000 dollars. She left out the beatings, and the scars, and the crying. Because why would she need to know? It was none of her business.

Savilla~~

Louise was in a daze. Staring off into the distance, and not creating a single sound.

Julie: Hey! I’m still here.

Louise whips her head around with an extremely annoyed look.

Louise: Seriously! Why are you still hanging around me?!

Julie: …

This is the first time Louise had actually looked Julie in the eyes. Louise was angry, but Julie’s eyes looked so frightened, so her mood softened a bit.

Louise: I’m sorry.. I’ve just got a lot on my mind.

Julie: Ya wanna talk about it?

Savilla~~

Julie: You should tell me about why you moved here? What’s your hometown like? You move here with your family?

Louise: You ask a lot of questions.

Julie: Well I don’t know anything about you.

Louise: Trust me, you wanna keep it that way.

Julie furrows her eyebrows together in confusion, and continues to ask questions. Louise is surprised with herself for not leaving yet.

Savilla~~

Julie takes a seat next to Louise on the damp grass. Louise notices how sad she looks, which kind of makes her feel bad.

Louise: What’s got you so down in the dumps?

Julie peeks up at Louise, but then turns back to stare straight forward.

Julie: I was just trying to be friendly. I can tell you’re new in town.

Louise feels a little sting in her chest. Primrose would be upset with her for making the pretty girl sad. Then she’d take her cigarette and scream, “DIE YOU CANCER STICK!”

Louise: I-I’m sorry, I’m just not very good with people.

Julie: It’s fine.

Louise exhales softly and hangs her head low. There’s silence between them for a couple minutes.

Louise: So-uh, why are you out here so late?

Julie: I like to roam the city whenever I get the chance. I can’t afford to live here, so..

Savilla~~

“My name is Julie. Yours?”

Louise: *sigh* I’m Louise.

Julie gradually gets closer and closer to where Louise is sitting, making Louise more and more tense by the second.

Julie: Well, Miss Louise, tell me about yourself.

Louise: Mmmm, I’d rather not.

Julie: Humph. Why not?

Louise: I was taught not to talk to strangers.

Julie: Hmmm, but I’m not a stranger. You know my name.

Louise rolls her eyes, and Julie smiles in triumph.

Savilla~~

Louise looks up and sees a gorgeous blonde with a bright smile. She quickly looks back down, hoping the girl doesn’t notice she acknowledged her.

“What are you doing out here all alone??”

Louise: Trying to relax without anything bothering me, but here you are.

The girl gives a small frown, but her smile reappears.
